REVIEW FEBRUARY’s SHOW
Huge thanks to our performers - all who attended the show agreed it was one of the strongest line-ups to date with truly stunning performances by Artist in residence Galit as well as Setsuna, Hannah, Elisa, Nancy and Lucille .
SETSUNA opened the show with the first of three performances – our theme for this month being the Far East she delighted the audience with a Chinese Umbrella dance depicting the promise of ‘young love’ contrasting heavy passionate rain
ELISA then exhibited her great Turkish technique with a lovely cheeky rendition of ‘Geceler’
NANCY followed with performing to ‘Aahat’ bringing drama and stunning floor work to the stage.
Then it was the turn of HANNAH to captivate the audience with a virtuoso tribal fusion dance.
GALIT closed the first half of the show with her beautiful, balletic and witty interpretation of ‘EL FEN’ El Fen by Muhammed Abd El Wahab
SETSUNA returned with an utterly charming Chinese Fire Dance with the fans and the dancer representing fire in its many stages
LUCILLA brought us a beautiful and traditional Afghani dance (twice in fact due to small technical hitch with the sound system!) and showed us superb technique and joy in her dancing.
HANNAH began dancing in Japan and her Japanese set revealed again why she has such a great reputation for her mesmerising, inspirational dancing and musical interpretation
SETSUNA then wowed the audience again with her delightful versatility in a classic and then a modern Egyptian piece before GALIT brought the house down with a breath-taking drum solo
